Compare the significance

In my opinion, the invention of the atomic bomb would be more significant than the Cold War because the invention of the atomic bomb was the primary cause of the Cold War. Without the invention, countries would not be able to proliferate nuclear weapons and eventually lead to an arms race. Moreover, the Cold War was only one of the impacts as a result of the invention of nuclear weapons. Other impacts include nuclear power plants that allowed humans to produce energy in a more efficient way.
